MIDSUMMER MO  FINISHES A LIGHT WORK IN GOING

WORKS 4F IN A BULLET 46.8 SECONDS. SHE RANKED #1 OF ALL HORSES GOING 4F THAT MORNING. 

Midsummer Mo (MM) ran a solid race with Sofia Vives aboard for the first time. MM broke quickly from the gate and settled into a good position around the first turn and down the backstretch. At the top of the stretch, MM moved to the outside to get an open lane for a strong finish against two formidable competitors.

Midsummer Mo got bumped and squeezed coming out of the gate and found herself at the back of the pack going down the backstretch. She made a nice move around traffic in the turn, but simply ran out of track as she closed in on the leader down the stretch. We will be pointing her to a longer race, 7 furlongs, on Sunday June 16th. 

Let's hope she can make Father's Day a bigger than usual celebration !

• Midsummer Mo made another very successful step in her development in a 1 mile and 70 yard race on the tapeta at Gulfstream Park on Sunday April 7, 2024. She showed her game when after getting caught up in some traffic and having to go wide at the top of the stretch, she finished very strong as compared to the 3rd  and 4th place finishers.  MM came out of the race in good order and we will be pointing her to race next at Woodbine on Saturday May 11th.
